np: jesse malin - the fine art of self destruction
i won't type much cos i feel like writing..but not yet. i just wanted to very, very highly recommend the kathleen edwards album failer to everyone. it is one of the most consistantly engaging records i've heard in quite awhile. i listen to a lot of stuff at wqfs and i like a lot of things, but rarely does an album just grab me by the hand and take me somewhere. this album did just that. her vocals do remind me of sweet old world-era lucinda williams but she moves beyond the obvious comparisons and really makes a great, solid statement as a songwriter. please check her out at her website and you can hear the first single, "six o'clock news." take care.
