np: the teardrop explodes - kilimanjaro

a really crazy and unique sounding band. i don't know exactly how to describe them. they're definitely something to hear. i can't imagine them being everyone's cup of tea by a long stretch. but they're good.

thursday evening begins spring break. and what a spring break. going to see toad the wet sprocket, yo la tengo and then south by southwest. delicious. i was scoping out the band schedule for sxsw and there's a few noticeable conflicts (lucinda williams and kacy crowley, mary lou lord and josh ritter) but for the most part, each night will be brim to brim with good stuff. the jayhawks and lucinda williams are playing back to back at the same venue followed by willie nelson. tré magnifique.

i feel like i need to hurry up somehow. i feel like i need to do something. i can't imagine what. maybe going to austin by myself will help me. i feel like i'm stagnating. i can't make myself do things yet again. just like last semester when i nearly felt on the verge of collapsing. i'm too close. it's too far in. i've got to dig in. got to.
