np: silence.

the album creation process strikes again.

"define me, hold me"

in the darkest light of morning
i swooped up your skirts
and held you like a burning coal
in the faceless pre-dawn moments
i shiver in my skin
i shiver at your whim

maybe there's a fire i can put out somewhere.
maybe there's a fire i can put out somewhere.
if i only knew how.

when i'm pistol grey and lonely
on the highway summer
i'll find you there.
we lean against eachother
joshua tree to our backs
we celebrate a perfect day.

maybe there's a fire i can join somewhere.
maybe there's a fire i can join somewhere.
if i only knew how.

maybe if you define me, you can hold me somewhere.
maybe if you hold me, you can define me somewhere.
if we only knew how.

i like it. i sat down to write a more uptempo piece since the stuff i've compiled is mostly slow and wandering. this is short, more forceful. and i like it. a lot.
