np: paul westerberg - "what a day (for a night)"

there's an update over at the j's indie/rock blog.

so the track listing for my new recording is coming together. i'm compiling (yet again) all the songs that i might wish to record for it. i still have to dig through some old notebooks, including some songs i know exist but i can't track down. which is upsetting. but alas.

i also have been talking with a friend who wants to get together to see what we can do together on songwriting. we both have stuff to bring to the table and this might be a fantastic outlet for so much. for the first time i'd be working with someone who also has a genuine interest in americana/alt-country influences so hopefully it'll really show up when we work it out. i'll keep you in the know.

i might update again later tonight but for now i really feel empty. time for lunch.
