np: the church - gold afternoon fix

create your own visited states map

i thought this was a rather neat thing. j. ball and i have already begun to plan a potential driving spree through the southern states en route to new orleans this june. which would begin to take care of those missing states. also, if anyone is game, in january of 2008, i want to go to iowa and witness an actual presidential primary caucus. i read up on the process after this recent one and i was blown away by how..well..Democracti the whole thing is. so, i want to see one happen. since i doubt i'll ever live in a state with a caucus style primary, observers are allowed. and i would love to see one in action.

the new hampshire primary is today. and a lot is on the line for several candidates. the polls have been wildly erratic in their results going in, so this is going to be a fascinating mess to watch unfold.

also, via a visitor's site, i located, of all things, bob mould's blog. if you have to ask who bob mould is, it probably won't interest you. but if you do know him, then check it out.
