np: prince - sign o' the times
recently, with the bush administration refusing to back the job forecast numbers from the government's own economic department and messr. gregory mankiw pitching that lovely assertion that overseas job outsourcing is actually good for the u.s. economy, we might have thought that the satire-come-to-life might be reaching a head.
well, not so quick.
first, there is the recommendation that fast food service jobs begin being counted as 'manufacturing' jobs since they do assembly line-esque work, what with slapping together those burgers and tacos and so forth.
second, there is the secretary of education and his labeling of the National Education Association as "terrorist organization." he later recanted, saying it was a poor joke and he was directing his ire towards the organization and not teachers in general.
guess what, jerkface? teachers are the union. you've already done enough disservice to us by forcing the no child left behind program on us without giving states the appropriate funding to implement your dirty little dumbing down program. (i'll explain my disgust with the no child left behind program another time.) and now we're terrorists?
