harry reid is knockin' 'em out of the park these days:

"Too many of the President's economic policies have left Americans and American companies struggling. And after we worked so hard to eliminate the deficit, his policies have added trillions to the debt - in effect, a 'birth tax' of $36,000 on every child that is born."

i'm going to start using 'birth tax' to refer to the debt. that's gold, jerry.

oh, and in case anyone didn't get the memo..

in much less serious news, pitchfork put up a rather interesting list of their top 100 singles of the '00 decade so far. an intriguing read to be sure, even if you leave foaming at the mouth.
